I have ridden in your

“Her Luck” by

I have come back, a dispossessed wizard,
walking through gray fog, fearless before dawn;
chanting prayers, I tap hickory stick not sword
zigzag-sways alligator from brown fawn:
myself, heron and egret, guarding duck.
A daughter like this is Cancer’s firstborn.
I am his luck...

I have climbed out and off armed-tattoo,
coasting over strange guarded-blue eyes
that drownsS magic wand pitying you
until curse shatters with forgiving rise
of light after storm created by Puck.
A daughter like this in rainbow sky,
I am his luck.
