Revelations
Janine Canan
I lift my head and gaze into your eyes.
A thunderbolt without beginning or end
pierces my heart.
Waves of the Mother--endless
tenderness--flood my lonely garden
with shocking bliss.
What is there to fear
when your smile
embraces every imaginable universe.
Your eyes,
huge shining pools,
deepen with obsidian mysteries.
One look from your Kali eye
evacuates whole destinies
of wrong--instantly.
Ah, petal by petal
You unfurl the flaring lotus
of my yearning heart.
Soft as milk,
clear as a mirror,
You are nearer than my Self.
Your eyes are golden
suns that pulsate
Yes! Yes! Yes!
You torch
the stubborn shell
around my seedling Self.
Your glance of honey
pulling me
into a web of incandescent Love.
You are the golden Lotus,
your petals woven from a million suns
blazing within.
Bubbling and gurgling
my heart pours joy.
You are always here.
