Cordless telephones and things,
Ice Cream Makers, toasters, bakers
Answering machines?

VCRs remote control,
chainc electroplated gold,
Home computers, private tutors,
Fans to make you cold?

Wasn’t iut where it used to be
Our lives were automation-free?
It’s put our world into a twirl
And now it won’t let us be
