melted marshmallow

saw a short, larger woman today;
it kind of looked
like she was once squashed
by one of those cartoon anvils.
well, this woman walked by,
and watching her ankles
reminded me
of cascading rolls
of melted marshmallow —
thicker than applebee’s
dessert chocolate fountain,
i suddenly craved a roaring fire
and freshly-made smores.
