i guess not everyone
can be a hero
some have to be a villain

you were one of those
were you proud?

i guess you must’ve been
because that odious
smirk follows me around
as if i’ve just seen it

i don’t hate anyone,
but i dislike you;
won’t let you drag me so low

as to hate you
because you don’t deserve
the emotions you make me feel
and those that i already
felt—

maybe one day
you’ll change and maybe you have,
but i find that hard to believe.
