could’ve just respected me
then i wouldn’t
even remember you

but i guess you just
had to be unforgettable
even if it was for the worst reason,

but you’re not alone;
i’m sure there are others
that’s the sickening thing

how many people have to suffer
before enough is enough?

yet they’re still blaming the victims,
they’re still dragging us through the mud,
still letting people walk free
for hurting us;

then they want to tell me women
have all the rights
and there’s no such thing as rape culture.
