At Last, Not a Collision

Mark Fleury

At last, not a collision
Of egos, galleried, not
Curses on walls, or
Christmas trees cut off
At the roots,

The garden opened by
Angel let’s soul in. Example:
Any Arles Van Gogh. Unwalled,
Like his studio, it’s the outside
That touches mind from within.

The studios are the paintings.

He never painted
Cigarettes shaped like windows,

Or try to hide the smoke
From any bloodshot basements.

Or body as car, idling in the driveway,
Rain streaking down, to see

The Goddess of sex: space outside

Oneself - a nest of strength,

Who, when devoted to,
Adds up to Angel-mind,

Who hears pieces of the
World, spring leaves making
Shadows on the grass from
The Tree of Knowledge.
