Drawn into the gut(ter),
Asleep, a dawning sun
Beam knew the combination
To the darkest cloud’s

Brow. So I hung it up

By the raindrop
That had made its way
To the river’s
Drawing in,

Deep-crossed
To the salt
Of serious crying.

Not to damage the worshipping
Of pain, gravity and the sea

Healed the magic wand’s
Broken bone, the way a star’s home’s

In your mind’s kindness
Toward dusk. Waiting for grave

Instead of rising sun,

The smell of underground’s
Deepest sight is in land’s
Beginning; where the ocean

Ends, to take away where,
And the tide breaks
The heart of feeling,
Breathing me in.
