Blown

Blown
In from the lake,

Torched

Where the snake’s
Silvery, oil-pupiled, blood-forked eyes
Had seen the end: behind

And into the roots –
Blue cubed – of stars’

Reflections,

The boiled down wind
Had an essence: form’s content; together they loved

Saved Serpent’s
Intelligence, the hell, atmosphere,
That brings in heaven

And earth together,

The pool of air for creation, content
For dying in Devil’s inhale, becoming
Christ where the exhale, Life, begins.

The blue cubed

Curtain fell in the King’s
Dome, it curved to a round sound ring

On the ocean floor,
The belly of a spaceship.

Then the thin beam
Of light folded up
Amidst wires, tendrils,

Roots, of Devil’s hair,
And back inside. The blue angel
Shook seaweed from its androgynous
Wings, saturated with oily water,
Onto the floor of the solar plexus exit.

It’s a fantasy come true
For the Angel, who has to become
The Devil to inhale – spirit
To breath – and be reborn as poem.
