Forming-Serpent: the Hyphen, Lifeline

Forming-Serpent: the hyphen, lifeline,
Is crucial, because although it’s Serpent
Who keeps us apart, he has a unifying

Heart. Corruptible hand claps
For the show’s setting love;
It goes into the leaves of stemmed
Strings in the sea’s layered,
Unfolding bloodstream.
Absorbed by one

Line, what’s left of the ocean-

Daughter not behind sandbags
Has been mopped up; in separate
Corners there, the tree trunks
Stand tall and proud under lightningd

Clouds, engulfed in flames.
You can see them inside
The lenses of content’s glasses.
Their outside, windows
Onto other dimensions,

Flecked with rain

Are kept dry by a cave
On a cliff.

There the veins
On the backs of leaves,
Glassy and purplish red,
Are drying by the primordial
Fire in the one Muse’s

Eyes, carrying
The same blood as at the top

Of the dawn-flooded clouds.

How did content’s head
Get hollowed enough for glyphs
With cracking shadows on rock walls?

Mindless member of the angry masses
Has discovered the bones of numbers.

The outer edges
Of the leaves are folding inward,
Singed and charred like the singing

Eyelids, an inner–Sun ray, of a casket.

It’s for the healing earth,
Where the many become one Muse.
