A Northern Spaceship

Mark Fleury

A northern spaceship,
Straight up above
Blue mountain peaks,

Is a Beyond Light

That pushes against the
Boundaries of syllable,
Made of space, that sends the
Christ-sentence-beam
Straight down to Angel’s

Eastern window, open.
The poems on desk
Blow around wings in a swirl
When the dawn comes.

Takes orders, not from a human,
But from a hungry window. This form
Opens, hovering. The opening,

Handing sentences to empty form.
Summer solstice jewels on floor.
