Contraction Becomes Expansion

Contraction becomes expansion.

Devil Boss: the outward world
Is the echo of his name.

The top of Angel’s wings,
Where duality dies, is on
The eternal side of a window
To Devil Boss, a building that
Is Earth, vibrating with Angel.

The extreme setting sun
Of the California coast
Is the nerve of where their
Separation catches flame.

The moon is an opening,
A doorway to heaven, no matter
Which side of Devil’s body
She’s vibrating with.

In the sky at the end
Of the western frontier, the stars
Are cracks in the window,

Mirroring the ocean.
It’s the part of poetry
That’s beyond words, the depths

Of a city that she’ll never,
Thanks to the Devil’s
Spine, now with her,
Have to return to again.

These syllables
Are a dying constellation.
