“I will only focus attention
On Light during poem making,
When it’s for my own pleasure.

Fur on the fingers of the moon
Reach down and what seemed to be
Someone’s else vulnerability, becomes
My own, and what I thought was my
Hand becomes of The Light, who
Grounds and completes me.

My pleasure center, what the one
In charge of me touches, appears to be
A different place than the earthy
Occurrence of poetry, but its core

Is the same. The tension between
The vibrations of Sound and Light
Are, for me, the difference between
Out and in, projection and essence.
In other words the poem speaks for itself.

Decisions made in the bank are not my concern,
The same way tangibility of a kaleidoscopic

Helicopter hovers down the avenues
Of confetti-strewn victory parades

For an animal’s dominance over my heart.”
