The opening heart of an ego’s Sunrise
Doesn’t have a name.
Whether its hid behind waves spreading
Across a dawn shore, or it’s in
The room where mind’s
Machinery makes its own hinges
And chain links, a naked name
Has cold mirrors.
It also has a backyard with a black dog tree
Who guards the change of authority to poetry;
An office and a desk with a view
Of Sunrise shaking its hand.
