so slick like legislators trying
to define the term torture
(or its meaningful ramification)
you wait on a busy life raft while
the sex police taser you again
shouting their leering shock-litany
the fun couples enjoy such cruelty
interrupting soggy old lovemaking
for fun or profit who really knows
why bloodlust rules the body politic
& lifeguards wear Old Glory thongs
as we swim in statutory sleaze
with dead salmon all around us
