SHARK ATTACK
BY PAUL L. GLAZE

The War Year Was Nineteen Forty Five.
The Atlantic Was This Destroyers Abide.
It Was Cruising Alone As Somewhat Lost.
No Radio Contact Was Made At Any Cost.

An Enemy Submarine Was Prowling Nearby.
Torpedoes Are Fired ! Was The Destroyers Cry.
Torpedoes Crashed Into The Ships Broadside.
Within A Few Moments This Destroyer Died.

The Ship Was Breaking At Every Seam.
Abandon Ship!, Was The Captains Scream.
Men Were Dying, Their Screams Were Frantic,
As Crewmen Jumped Into The North Atlantic.

Panicked In Horror, Knowing Not What To Do.
Awash In Cold Water Was This Ships Crew.
A Fanatic Call Screamed Out In Hark.
To Announce Arrivals Of The Deadly Shark.

Men Fighting to Survive This Fatal Encumber.
As Sharks Came In Their Deadly Number.
Sharks Attacking Both The Dead And The Alive.
Tearing At Men's Flesh In Their Gashing Dive.

This Horrible Event Has Seen Little Attention.
Its Results Are Too Despicable To Mention.
The Very Few Who Would Make It Back.
Would Balk Attack Of The Sharks Attack.

Whenever In Harsh Waters Of The Oceans Dark.
Beware Of The Lair, Of The Deadly Shark !
