soft white hands
no traces of physical labor
almost feminine
fingers long and tapered
even cuticles
nails glossy as though they’d been buffed
to make then shine
alabaster appendages on a statue of clay
no callouses
nothing to irritate
never abrasive or harsh or rough
gliding over me so smoothly
that
i never feel a thing.
