MARILYN MONROE SEES A LANDLOCKED SEASCAPE

waves, but they
are not of water
but sand she's
gazing into ripples
of desert the light
could hypnotize,
the colors go on
and on there is
an island in the
soft warmth that
flows, changes,
drifts and blows
like chunks of her
life and she thinks
maybe out of what
is tough and hard
as boulders some
thing less heavy
could grow
