By sake of name,
I fall.
This isn’t as easy as it seems.
Likewise, I am called devil,
but my fall is from
aesthetics
health
society
et cetera.
This is hard.
Like saliva:
Projectile introduction
of innards to porcelain.
Emotional numbness is not as pleasant
as it sounds.
This is a self-fulfilling prophecy;
this is a natural gag-reflex:
The inability
to tell my father
I love him;
The notion of attainment
despite the knowledge
of the inevitable loss;
The free-fall
terrifying claims
of gravity.
It’s not as easy as you’d think
to be a drunk,
but it pays its rewards in the end:
There is nothing easier
than being dead.
