falling down
What I was trying to tell you is that I am most afraid of falling
when I am laying down.
It is then, when I am alone, that this mind churrs these thoughts
that whir and it all blenders
around at about one-fourth the speed of sound.
That's twenty-five machs divided by one-hundred.
That's more than fifty of me a second.
See, there are a lot of things I do not know, but when thoughts blur
at such a pace, I
sometimes think that there is even more I do know and just don't
understand.
But one thing I am certain of is that I am most afraid of feeling
when I am falling down.
