Sat at the edge of my chair
with an empty can in my hand
thinking How nice it must be
to be Redneck
and Primal
and dream of beads of sweat hung
between breasts.
But my world has heavier weights
than that
And I dream of her lips
pressed against mine
and my hand full
of her hair
and how I’d never
have sex in my car
unless she were to be
the only One.
