April 1st arrived;
so, ever Nature's fool,
Winter feted Spring
with ticker-tape parade.
Soon, unswept streets lay festooned
in march-over white
while sensible folks grumbled
as phone lines snapped,
transformers blew;
but all I knew,
Boston's seasonal parade
was beautiful!
