I would like to make a confession
There is a beautiful girl
I know her well
We have been seeing each other often
Talk every day
This girl
I love
Cherish and delight in her presence
She repeatedly talks of marriage
A topic dually enjoyed with the thought
Feared for such haste
Sex is in the manifold
Too
Often we plod
Dangerously close
Although neither of us are truly ready
Biologically, culturally
There is no hindrance
Her parents at nineteen
Mine at eighteen
My relatives at even younger
I can sense the walls closing in on a wrong decision
Is there a compromise?
