National Alien: Incognito, Part II
By Peter Scott
Disarmed by consideration
Mind was sent wandering
Two weeks past
Timed with teachings
For storm preparation
Regaled highly
Regarded as nice
We met in calm
And I never forgot
Would not place her face
Amongst austere crowds
Gazed at her beauty
Hungered for more
Later I snuck identification
Meant to write her
All over my diaries
Yet I was blanketed in belittled uncertainty
And she drifted away
Saddened my tone
Watching a future friend
Present love
Coast away
Into uncaring masses
Whose only opinion
Was verbally force-fed.
