Ode To My Bed
Jacqui Smith
Ode to my bed,
It has pillows to comfort my head,
And sheets to cover the mattress,
So it will stay dry and sometimes wet when I cry.
Ode to my bed,
It’s a nice place to flop,
When my head is full of confusion,
And thinking can’t stop.
Ode to my bed,
When I have a cold,
In it I like to get rolled,
My body and flesh between the cover,
And comforter snuggling lump free.
Ode to my bed,
How I love thee,
When pals sleep over my bed is there,
Itself it’s ready to share,
To spread out wide so I can hide,
Deep inside and seek a place to,
Go without anyone to know.
