Left me
the sea,
draining my flesh,
leeches in rivulets,
letting
gelation
set in.
Beached
like a whale
I let waders
walk over me
peck their way,
on pink legs
racing
down runnels,
water rushing
past them
to the salt sedge
of estuary.
Slit down the vein
I am breached
on the edge
of like;
in the spume,
the Boss Man
cleans his knife.
