OLD POETS
Cheryl Townsend
With their eccentric hair
and clothing not willing to
give up their days of initial
rebellion now they rebel
against age long hippie hair
and beatnik beards mini
skirts and berets how did
the clothes last so long and
they write about them as if now
and now as if then like Grand-
fatheršs handed down wisdom
so much to tell to most ears
willing to listen they keep on
and on until the ink finally dries
