No One Heard Me

I sat in a corner
my back faced
the white wall.
I was trapped.
I said:
help me.

No one heard me.
I could not move
backwards, the
wall stopped me.
I said louder:
Help Me.

No one heard me.
I could not move
forward, reality
stopped me.
I screamed:
HELP ME!

No one heard me.
I looked to the wall
to my right and then
to my left.
I screamed again:
HEL...

But I couldn’t finish.
Reality had strangled
the life out of me
No one heard me.
