Chocolate Milk and Brown Cows PRIVATE

Nobody believed him,
but me, I'm crazy
that way.

He could never tell
me a lie, I was his
little Peanuts.

He had friends, Herb
and Darla, who owned
a dairy farm,

and he swore up and
down that he'd seen
brown cows

give chocolate milk.
But when I saw Mom sneak
chocolate syrup

into my milk while
Grandpa was showing me
how to draw,

he explained that the best
chocolate milk comes
from brown cows.

On one of our many trips
to the children's zoo, I
watched a guy

milking a brown cow,
but all that came out
was white milk.

I asked Grandpa about it,
he said it was because
the cow was sick,

and I cried for that brown
cow, because he couldn't
make chocolate milk.
