A few days on lock down
for things I barely recall,
the pain of previous
ten years
finally getting the
better of me,
swallowing me
like tidal waves
and sucking me to
the bottom
of whirlpools.
My head so
twisted-
thoughts distorted
to the point
of total blurs,
total blues:
I survived,
where to, now?
What path
should I move
down?
Do I travel?
Do I remain?
Something has to
change,
the pills I take
move away the clouds,
and let the sunshine in.
I will find my path-
I will do the math,
before I finally
drift off into
the gentle ocean.
