synchronized to the wind

lotus, tiger, crane

time-lapsed petals
unfold to ancient faces of placidity
fluid in step and gesture

morning joggers
straggle like tired dogs
pause in pant at the oddity of the blooms
and move on, sniffing the wind as they run
