AFTER THE RAIN

Can you see these
bluejays pecking on
my roof,

Can you see this cooing
stillness though its clinging
is a moss

of fluttering leaves,
which are submerged,
in a clutter,
of silent skins

whose fingers see
the river’s dissonance,
when the wicked,
pass again.
