Tea
Steven S. Nam
How does the universe work, you say
Just concentrate on your tea, I say
Sweet ripples of vertigo, lilting in melody
Why some people cared about some things, I never knew
But frosting was always delicious.
And moths were uglier than butterflies. Almost always.
How does the universe work, you say
Just concentrate on your tea, I say
Jagged shadows in ambience
Liquid tears welling within a thousand eyes
Confusion rampant, since no one would explain
(just because there was no explanation.)
Damnit, how does the universe work, you say
Damnit, just concentrate on your tea, I say
We both cry with the thousands.
