Babe bathed in streetlight
on the corner of K and A
tricked out nice in a halter-top.
Pretty child with an angel’s face;
blond longhaired waif,
stands smiling at passing cars.
She’s come out to play
for the Thursday night game
looking for moneyed creeps,
cruising in from the burbs.
They look for fleshy fun
with our neighborhood kids.
Car drives up with Jersey tags,
“Jesus Saves” on the rear,
“I Vote For Life” on the front.
Inside sits, a clean-cut man
looks shy and innocent,
just got out of Bible school.
Babe leans through the window,
says hey you good looking man,
do you want to party?
Sounds good to John,
Babe climbs into the car
hopes this man won’t hurt her.
