Huntington Pier

Dave Oakes

The deep blue horizon
Way out past the shore
With a touch of golden hue
More lovely than ever before.
With birds flying low over the water
I marvel at how peaceful it seems
As if a master painter came by
And painted us dreams.
So easy to forget
All the pain for a while
Feeling so much at peace
I can’t help but to smile.
To add movements to this picture
Another cloud passes by overhead
Just a little more beauty
To feed my head.
