Two to One
Dave Oakes
Two becoming one with barely a notice
One thought from two different minds
A single pleasure engulfing both
They are two but one of a kind.
So alike but not too much to be boring
One could disappear without a trace
And no one would ever notice a thing
If the other were inserted in their place.
A tune running through one mind
And all of a sudden the other hums it
You enjoy each other so delightfully
You don’t have to talk or force the bit.
It all seems to come so naturally
There is no effort that this requires
It just all seems to fall into place
Creating sparks which leap to fires.
Yet knowing this must happen slowly
The mistakes have been made before
Don’t get too anxious to take a good look
Make sure that this time you know the score.
