I courted Eve as Adam watched me,
He summoned the beasts and the animals caught me.
They dragged me down and throughout the town,
Still tight in my palm a shred of her gown.
It sheltered her scent, while the monsters hell bent,
Gathered all but my final breath.
Yet I rose to my feet and staggered the street,
With cloth in clutch -til my death.
Following the smell I discovered the dell,
Where Hell rose up when Heaven fell.
There I saw Eve about to conceive,
Betwixt Adam’s knees in the house of his thieves.
They rose to the floor and ran for the door,
The deceit she implored too much to endure.
Thus I murdered my brother and strangled the other,
It is no wonder we must reinvent the lovers.
