just a thought for, for April---
wherever she might be now:

barely knew her
some summer camp thing
its been years now

but I still smile
when I picture her face
something she told me once
remains to this day
the single greatest thing
I’ve ever been told
by a woman

except maybe “I love you”

she said:
“when you get up and give speeches, it gets me wet.”

sometimes I wonder
why we never kept in touch
