Pal, buddy, amigo they are all the same
Always there for you
Helping you with everything you do
Being there
Backing you up on every dare
Showing you, that they do care
They help you out in every way
Just as they do everyday
Everyone starts as a friend
Then something happens
And that circle comes to an end
You move on and explore
Looking for someone who doesnąt slam the door
Always there
Never leaving you on any dare
Not showing that they care
Never leaving you behind
And to make you look and find
What went wrong
You begin to hope
That they wonąt leave you looking as a dope
Someone who isnąt a friend with leave you in the rain
So they could remove a spaghetti stain
A friend helps you out
So you wonąt cry
If you cry
They wipe away the tear
Knowing to them you have nothing fear
A friend is someone who does care
Someone who is always there
Your shadow, your backbone, your conscious
They are there to help you out on any date
Them....not your parents are the ones who keep you
straight.
