we were hanging
out at a bar
in Ybor City, FL
and we were drunk
and we were stoned
and we were working
on getting a little
more of both.
two pool tables sat
empty at the far
end of the room
so we
starting playing on
one of them.
the other one was
empty for most of
the night
until this chick
in a tight black dress
walked up, followed by a
guy with an expensive
professional camera.
then the chick started
posing and
stretching and
positioning
over and around
the table as
the guy with the
camera shot her.
he handed her
a cuestick
and placed some balls
on the table,
and she acted
like she was hitting them.
she was stroking
on the 5 ball
and she held the cue stick
like it was a broom.
the photographer
moved around
the table and i think
he took a few pictures
with me in the background,
stoned and drunk,
staring at
the chick in black.
one of those pictures is
probably in some swanky
magazine somewhere,
me in the background
gawking with a
drunken glaze
on my face and drool
crusted on the front
of my shirt.
and just as suddenly
as they came,
they were gone.
we all finished
our drinks and laughed,
as we walked out
of the bar hanging
in each others arms,
about the chick
that couldn't shoot pool
but definitely knew how to
wear a tight black dress.
