Snacks

As war broke out in one country,
fat arses in another, longed to sit down
and get fatter
while watching TV and eating snacks.
As the troops raged,
for whatever reasons they had been told
they were fighting for,
another nation of people stuffed burgers
in their mouths
with their beer and TV
close at hand
“What are we fighting for?”
said one soldier, longing for a burger.
His friend turned to answer, thinking of a sofa
At the same time he spoke,
fat arses sat, beer got drank
and snacks got consumed
like there was no tomorrow
“We are fighting so we can be free toÉ.”
Eat snacks, watch TV, drink beer
and sit on sofas
“Don’t you want to do something worthwhile?”
said a TV advertisement for the army
the viewers continued with their snacks.
