Grass Like Glass

a soaked body of aiming
blades or teeth
fragile and glassy

could cut and
pierce skin even
ears drawing me out

into a barehanded fencing
match
much like

hard and glossy
teeth can
spit and bite with a single syllable

far worse than
their limp blades merely buckle
beneath my weight when stumbling

One day ages away
as i grow old
and their blades rot away

I will chuckle goodbyes
to their
lingering stale-breathed complaints
