A LOST PIECE OF PAPER

A poem is stuck between page 139 and 140.
I fingernail it, but it has no give.
Nothing like rusty pipes in the basement
Or missing supports for a railing.
I read the poem on one side, then the other,
But try as I might, cannot reach the one in between.
