It was a too-often-seen scene,
and
here it could qualify
as a definition of irony:
at the library,
where
the ability to read is presumably a prerequisite
for employment,
I saw someone
leave the employees-only entrance,
jump into the car and careen out
the drive clearly marked ENTER
Perhaps there’s a legitimate explanation
Perhaps not
