After the Coronavirus/Covid 19 2020 outbreak, the Poetry Bomb (started in Chicago on the last Sunday of April at 3:30 PM CST) asked that 2020 be a social media bomb, by reading at home, but hash-tagging everything #poetrybomb. Janet Kuypers opted to read poetry in her library for a Facebook event page on Facebook live streaming videos (plus additional video uploads from the event) from two new Scars Publications issue collection books, the cc&d magazine February-April 2020 issue collection book “Aiming at Immortality” and the Down in the Dirt magazine February-April 2020 issue collection book “Foundations”, plus poetry from the Janet Kuypers poetry book “Every Event of the Year (Volume one: January-June)”.

In her feature she read from her two 2019 Scars Publications book releases, “Every Event of the Year (Volume one: January-June)” and “(pheromones) haiku, Instagram, Twitter, and poetry”, and in the beginning of the reading time, Kuypers also read a number of Twitter Verse Periodic Table Poems, that she has been inspired to write because of a suggestion from Avrom Litin (and audience member fro her feature) to write these twitter-length Periodic Table poems (and while writing them, her poem “Magnesium Burn” (#012, Mg) won 3rd place in a contest sponsored by (and appeared in) “Chemistry and Engineering News”.

Janet Kuypers performed an “Eleven”-themed poetry and music show at Austin’s The Buzz Mill “Fort to Famous” open mic space, which offered her a 30 minute performance space. June 7, 2005 Kuypers performed the show {Stripped} live at the Café, 5115 North Lincoln Avenue, Chicago. This show is of Spring 2005 poetry that is more political, and this show is called “Stripped” because it does not contain the usual background music that is prevalent in Kuypers’ shows, and the images in her projected displays will be more limited than past shows of hers. However, her images are even set up with white space, allowing Kuypers to be at the front of the stage with the show as she reads her new work.
