Telling What you Want
And Hearing What You Want
there are many things
you’ve got to learn
about how to deal with other people
and how to talk to other people
and some of the rules seem obvious
and some of them take
a little getting used to
to tell a man how to talk to
a woman, well, you might
as well tell them to read war and peace
and maybe that would be easier
for that matter, tell a woman how to talk to a man
and it’s like telling her
that she can’t go shopping anymore
it’s just that drastic for her
and if there was a handy guide
to tell you how to deal with other people
well, that would make people get along
so much better
when someone wants to hear something
is it that hard
to actually tell them
what they want to hear?
or is it
that traumatic for you
to say the words
you want to say
or are you just
too scared
