Dreams 04/26/06, Stephanie Mason

I don’t know how I got into this situation,
but all I can guess is that this woman,
who was apparently a high-ranking corporate official,
took a liking to me.

This woman kind of looked like Sharon Stone
from Basic Instinct Two, with long straight blonde hair,
but what I think really happened

is that there was this woman
somewhere in the company,
a lower ranked employee that no one really knew

well, I think this corporate lady killed her.

I have no evidence of this,
but for some reason I think she killed her
because she told me I looked exactly like her

and I could just take her place
and no one would know the difference.
This woman’s name was Stephanie Mason,

I had to remember that, Stephanie Mason,
because that’s who I was becoming.

I know she took Stephanie’s passport
and doctored it so I could take her place,
and I was supposed to travel with her

as like her assistant, or her lackey,
or her friend. I don’t know.

But the next thing I knew I was in Vegas,
I don’t remember the flight, but I was there,
and everyone was meeting up to play poker.

Apparently Stephanie loved poker like mad,
so I was suddenly walking to a poker table
with another lackey form the corporation.

They thought I was Stephanie Mason,
and someone dealt out one card face down for me,
and I was supposed to do something.

Well, everyone else in the world apparently
knows how to play poker,
everyone thought I loved poker

so I looked down at the card and said,
“You know, I don’t feel like playing now.”
Which kind of shocked the other corporate

employee there, because I’m Sharon
and I apparently couldn’t live without poker,
but I thought, there’s no way I aan fake

playing a game in Vegas I’ve never played before.

So I said I was fine with just watching,
and the other guy played, and then
more people from the corporation showed up

and started playing. One person to my left
said they were watching me
just look around at everyone, like

I was being a private eye or something,
and I said I was just watching everything as it happened,
that’s all. And then

someone I knew form my old job,
someone who knew me,
I think thy guy actually worked at Talcott

with me before but I can’t remember
what he did or what his real name was, well,
he saw me and was about to say my name,

so I motioned for him to greet me in a hug,
so our faces could be closed and I could tell him
to call me Stephanie, that’s my name

to these people

but the next thing I remember is that the woman
sitting on my right, form the corporation
also playing poker leaned over and said to me,

“You know, the only reason you’re around here
is because the head lady likes you.”
And I felt bad that people just didn’t like me.
