Incorporating Life Into Dreams
and all I remember from a dream
was telling dad not to feel so bad
don’t let things bother him
because I could hear his breathing
stifled and paused as he breathed
that I was listening to dad
try to catch his breath
while he slept
and that I managed to incorporate
is regular difficulty in breathing
as he slept
into my dream
