haiku & poem readings on WZRD Radio (88.3 FM)

    WZRD Radio (88.3 FM), with a D.J. Cathleen Schandelmeier-Bartels, had an hour-long interview with Janet Kuypers 7/25/15, where she talked about the release of her new poetry book Bon Voyage!. During this interview, she talked extensively about the culture differences between the United States and India, as well as the caste system (and specifically sexism and women’s rights). The reason for her trip (and the journal, poetry and photography book) was to celebrate her 20 years of being a vegetarian, so a lot of the discussion also focused on vegetarianism. During this interview, also read haiku poems and poems from her 2014 release of Bon Voyage!, as well as a poem from the just-released Water of Life chapbook Unzip the Body bag (a numbered an autographed 20 count of chapbooks printed entirely on paper from grocery bags) “Vegetarian Stands by the Meat Sale” and a never-before read poem that is the finalß poem of her 8//14/15 final scheduled Chicago poetry show (“Farewell Chicago”), ever leave me.
