Chicago poet and Austin resident Janet Kuypers returned to Chicago in the beginning of August in 2024, and was honored with the opportunity reinstate her 2010-2015 “the Café Gallery” at The Gallery Cabaret with a for a one-night-only get-together FOR ONLY 2½ HOURS of poetry (prose poems and 1-song musicians are also very welcome to join us) for multiple rounds of open mics before the finalé feature. Once again at The Gallery Cabaret (2020 N. Oakley Ave. in Chicago - one block east of Western Avenue and one block north of Armitage) on Wednesday, August 14^th 2024.

    During the evening, Janet Kuypers read poetry from the CyberWit 2024 poetry book “The Universe is in Your Hands”... she started the “Poetry Open Mic at The Gallery Cabaret with feature Janet Kuypers” with a reading of 1 poem from the book, and in 2 other readings between open mic poets, Janet Kuypers also read 1 poem and 2 poems from the book (highlighting location themes similar to her 2023 CyberWit book “Testament”. She closed the allotted time slot with her feature reading select poems from the book “The Universe is in Your Hands”
